  • Fast service — individually stocked components ship the same day
  • Custom assemblies for your specific needs
  • Optional accessories available including porting blocks, shut-off valves, gauges and more

Bimba Non-Contact Position Feedback Cylinder

Unlike traditional pneumatic feedback technology, PFCN models are resistant to the effects of moisture, oil, airborne debris, dust, and airline contamination.

  • Ideal for closed-loop positioning and accurate measuring.
  • Uses magnetostrictive transducers individually calibrated for 0-10 V output.
  • Probe resists contaminants in air lines and environmental dirt, debris, moisture, and solvents.
  • Long term short-stroke cycling does not wear probe.
  • Same wide choice of mounting styles and options as PFC.
  • Bore sizes: 1-1/16, 1-1/2, 2-1/2 and 3 inches.  Stroke lengths from 1 to 9 inches.
  • Four-day delivery of catalog models.
  • Use with Bimba Pneumatic Control System to provide continuous motion control and precise closed-loop positioning.

Bimba All Stainless-Steel Repairable Cylinder

  • Corrosion resistant, 303 stainless steel, is ideal for washdown applications.
  • Bore sizes: 1-1/2”, 2”, 2-1/2”, 3-1/4”. 4”, 5”, 6”, 8”.
  • Designed to reduce sharp edges and corners, providing smooth transition to the cylinder body which eliminates catch points for contamination and allows for ease in cleaning.
  • Tapped holes provide easy mounting of USDA approved secondary wiper retainer. Variety of mounting styles.
  • Urethane rod wiper is standard and offers resistance to a wide variety of washdown chemicals. Larger bores offer a PTFE rod wiper as standard.
  • Nitrile rod seal is pressure activated and wear compensating for long life.
  • Thick walled, 316 stainless steel body offers superior corrosion resistance and is designed to minimize gaps with the mating end caps where contamination can build up.

Bimba Ultran Band Cylinder

  • Stainless steel cover strip protects sealed area, prolonging life.
  • Unique five-ported endcaps provide maximum flexibility.
  • All models come switch-ready with finely adjustable cushioning.
  • Available in a variety of bore sizes with stroke lengths up to 3m (10 ft).
  • Perfect for door opening, material handling/conveying, packaging and palletizing.
  • Variety of Mounting Kits available for use with each basic cylinder.
  • Bore sizes: 18mm, 25mm, 32mm, 40mm, 50mm, and 63mm.

Bimba Heavy-Duty T4 Thruster

  • The Bimba T4 Thruster offers the same smooth actuation found in the original "T" series Thrusters.
  • Four guide shafts, instead of the typical two, achieve doubled capacity and reduced deflection.
  • Bores sizes are 2”, 2.5” and 3”. Standard stroke lengths of 1” to 12” increments are also available, as well as strokes up to 36”.
  • Optional features include internal and external bumpers, air cushions, and magnetic position sensing.

Bimba Extruded Flat Lift Table

The Lift Table is an EF1-based, guided cylinder with four shafts for maximum rigidity. It is designed for lifting applications where other non-rotating cylinders cannot handle an overhung load and space is at a premium.

  • Four-shaft support withstands offset loads and moments.

  • Simple, efficient design provides economical alternative to other costly guided actuators.

  • Joins the EF family of products, so shares all the same benefits--long service life, low friction operation, fast delivery.

  • Convenient wide tooling mounting surface.

  • Intended for vertical lifting applications (should not be mounted horizontally or with tooling plates facing down.)

Bimba Narrow Profile Air Table

Now available in three bore sizes: 12mm, 20mm, and 32mm!

Bimba Manufacturing's Narrow Profile Air Table Actuator (NPA) is a space-efficient slide with a rigid ball bearing rail mounted to the top of a single bore. Two bearing styles are offered (single/double bearing block) to accommodate both lower costs and higher precision/cost applications. It produces a width savings of roughly 50% compared to a Twin Bore of similar bore size.

The NPA actuator features anodized aluminum body and tooling plate. Piston rods are hard chrome plated steel. The cylinder bodies incorporate tracks for efficient mounting of our miniature switch series (MR, MSC, MSK). The bearing system is the same high-performance ball bearing rail used in the TBA series, so you can expect the same precise guiding and load-carrying capacity. Standard options include second bearing block, magnetic position sensing, and US customary threads.

Bimba Rod Lock Cylinder

Bimba Manufacturing's Original Line Rod Lock cylinder incorporates a clamp/cam device to hold the piston rod in position upon loss of air pressure. Its simple and effective design provides a low-cost, reliable locking cylinder. Holding forces range from 40 pounds in a ¾" bore cylinder, to 700 pounds in the 3" bore. The OL Rod Lock is available in six bore sizes, ¾" through 3", with the same stroke length flexibility as the Original Line. This innovation is the first low cost alternative to bulky tie-rod style locking cylinders.

The Original Line Rod Lock is suitable for a wide range of applications. It is ideal for holding loads stationary at machine shutdown (drop prevention), as well as a failsafe device in counterbalance applications.

Bimba Twist Clamp Cylinder

The Twist Clamp, based on the Bimba EF1 cylinder, incorporates an internal mechanism to produce rotary piston motion throughout stroke. By attaching a clamp arm, the actuator becomes an ideal clamping mechanism for light-duty holding applications. The rotary motion rotates the clamp arm out of the work area for easy loading and unloading of parts.

The Twist Clamp is available in four bore sizes, 25mm, 40mm, 50mm, and 63mm. Clamping force of up to 600 pounds can be achieved (at maximum pressure of 140 psi). The base cylinder is Bimba's high-quality EF1, so the Twist Clamp benefits from the same standard features: hard coat anodized, PTFE-impregnated cylinder body, and space-efficient overall length and envelope size. Rotation is achieved via a cam/bushing concept that has been tested to millions of cycles.

  Bimba Low Profile Air Table

May 6, 2002, Monee, Illinois - Bimba Manufacturing Company is pleased to introduce the Low Profile Air Table (LPA) Actuator, a small cross-section, single bore cylinder that provides highly accurate linear motion. It incorporates a guide rail mounted along side the cylinder bore, creating a slide table with roughly one-half the height of a standard Twin Bore Air Table actuator.

The LPA is available in a 8mm bore size, and a wide variety of stroke lengths in 10mm increments. Standard options include magnetic position sensing and US customary threads. Both actuators feature anodized aluminum bodies and tooling plates. Piston rods are hard chrome plated steel. Cylinder bodies incorporate tracks for efficient mounting of our miniature switch series (MR, MSC, MSK). The bearing system is the same high-performance ball bearing rail used in the TBA series, so you can expect the same precise guiding and load-carrying capacity.
